The name begins with Jacob the Old Testament figure who wrestled with God through the night (Genesis 32:24–30). In that divine encounter, Jacob’s identity was transformed—from one who wrestled and strived, to one who walked in covenant with God. It’s a profound story of perseverance, blessing, and spiritual renewal—a reminder that transformation often follows struggle, and that blessing is found when we refuse to let go of faith.

The word Pearl comes from one of Jesus’ parables in Matthew 13:45–46 where He said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls; when he found one of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

This “pearl of great price” represents our union with Christ—a relationship so precious that it’s worth surrendering everything else. It reflects love, commitment, and the deep peace of delighting in Him.

You might even notice that the Wi-Fi password is inspired by Genesis 29:20 where “Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed only a few days to him because of his love for her.” It’s a quiet tribute to enduring love—the kind that makes time feel light and service feel joyful.
